Patricia van Walstijn is the founder of Chi Neng Qigong in Europe. In 1998 she started the Chi Neng Institute Europe. There are institutes based in the following countries; the Nederlands, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Spain. Only in the Netherlands there are already more than 130 instructors. This form of movement is being taught in companies, schools, gym’s and in own practice.

Patricia van Walstijn attended her first Zhineng Qigong workshop in the United States in 1997. In May 1998, she travelled to China where she trained at the Zhineng training centre in Beidahe. During this trip, she visited the Huaxia Zhineng Centre, where she met Dr. Pang Ming. Deeply impressed by Dr. Pang Ming and Zhineng Qigong, she resumed her training in the United States and China. Together with Dr. Roy Martina, Patricia wrote the first book‘ Chi Neng^® Qigong, meditatie in beweging voor de Westerse mens’ (Chi Neng^® Qigong, meditation in motion for Western people) and in 2008 the second book came out 'Chi Neng Qigong- Inspired and relaxed living'. She taught the Greek Olympic sprint team in Sydney 2000 and has taught in a women’s prison of Curacao. Patricia teaches workshops nationally and internationally for the different Chi Neng Institutes. She also gives Chi Neng^® Qigong training for companies (TnT, Philips, Dutch tax service, Nuon, LOI, Medtronic, Aegon, etc.).

The teaching methods in the Centre in China were quite different from those taught in Europe. In China, people trained for hours on end, no questions asked. Experience has taught us that this method of training without background information is not easily accepted in Europe. We choose to guide the participant on the path of self-development by thoroughly teaching the theory of Dr. Pang Ming and give great attention to the qi-field. We developed Chi Neng^® Qigong for children and different trainings for companies. To stay close to the source we invite international Zhineng Teachers every year.
