The name Chi Neng

Zhineng Qigong is a Chinese form of movement developed by Dr. Pang Ming. The name for this form of qigong is not protected so anyone can call themselves a Zhineng instructor. Anyone can also give their own interpretation and/or add exercises to the original form.

Patricia van Walstijn decided after her meeting with dr. Pang Ming in China to bring his teachings to Europe under the name Chi Neng Qigong. This name is protected in Europe and stands for the form qigong as developed and taught by Dr. Pang Ming.

The Chi Neng Institute Europe stays as close as possible to the pure teachings and does everything possible to keep the quality high. To achieve this, we work closely together with teacher Li Hongshi. Teacher Li was for ten years head of the ‘Teachers training division’ in the Huaxia Zhineng Centre. He was responsible for the training of all Zhineng instructors. Besides this, he was responsible for the ‘Recovery Centre’ and he became manager of the entire Centre. The teachers of the Chi Neng Institutes are regularly educated by Teacher Li to keep their form up to date and deepen their knowledge. All instructors who are affiliated with the institutes in Europe follow a yearly update with the teachers of their institute and have the possibility to attend workshops with Teacher Li and other Zhineng teachers. In this way it is guaranteed that the Chi Neng Institutes stand for Zhineng Qigong as taught in the former Huaxia Centre of dr. Pang Ming.

If you take classes with one of our instructors mentioned on the different European websites, you can be sure that this person has completed the course with the institute and follows a yearly update.
